Awards a milestone, say ecowash mobile director
Monday, 21 January 2008
Managing director of Australian waterless carwash ecowash mobile, Jim Cornish, said the franchise's win in the PricewaterhouseCoopers Franchising awards (in which it won Franchise Council of Australia award for Emerging Franchise System of the Year NSW/ACT 2007) last September was a huge milestone in its history.
“It is an extremely significant award. While we have won many awards over the four years we have operated, this is the first we have received from the Franchise Council and that means a lot to us,” Mr Cornish said.
“It is a great feeling to win an award that is from within your own industry, and reinforces the confidence and belief we have in our franchise model.
“From a point of view of our existing franchises, it reinforces for them a confidence in their own decision to choose ecowash mobile and the direction the company is heading.”
ecowash mobile set to operate in 10 countries over the next two months.
The franchise has made a strong foray into the global market, with master franchises established in France, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Jordan, the USA and Saudi Arabia.
New Master Franchises will be launched in Greece, Turkey and Dubai next month, followed by expansion into Sudan in March and Switzerland in April. Two master franchises in California are also being discussed for May.
Mr Cornish said the award has been a huge help in establishing the brand overseas.
“Nationally and internationally the award gives our system a strong position in the market as a professional and credible franchise, particularly as Australia is seen as one of the most advanced franchise markets in the world.
“As a result of this and the way we are perceived internationally, our overseas markets were very keen to promote the win as well.”
